Laurie Saurborn
Since taking her first yoga class as a teenager at the community center in her hometown, Laurie has worked to develop a yoga practice to carry with her and to carry her forward.
A writer and photographer, she invites the power of creative vision into her practice, life and art.
Through her training as a mental health nurse practitioner, Laurie values the importance of movement and breath work in fostering physical and emotional health. She sees both as fundamental, accessible tools that can reset the nervous system and help build healthy ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Laurie received her RYT-200 in 2022 through the training program at Mat
Happy Yoga. She enjoys teaching a variety of Vinyasa and Hatha-based classes that both physically challenge her students and renew their sense of wellbeing.
